Organization Development for Visionaries: An Inquiry Into Sustainable Design

Two Sessions—Tues Mornings  9-11:30am PT

Sept 26 and Oct 4, 2022

Since 1995 David Sibbet has been applying the Theory of Process to the challenge of designing sustainable organizations that can face the challenges of our times. He worked for years with his French colleague Meryem LeSaget on the Sustainable Organizations Model (SOM). This thinking underlies the large systems change work he does through The Grove Consultants International.

This series will use the seven archetypes for organizational coherence described in the SOM as doorways for envisioning a sustainable future. Participants will share approaches to  supporting conversations for evolutionary thinking and sustainable design and identify exemplars current in leadership. Everyone will have a chance to learn and challenge the SOM, and apply it to their own organization design challenges.

The sessions will revolve around a set of key questions that have David deeply engaged.

  • What is visionary leadership?
  • What does sustainability look like in uncertain times?
  • What kinds of organizations will be able to thrive in a climate stressed world?
  • What kinds of organizations need to be created anew?

Videos will be available for study after the sessions.

Materials and videos will be posted on the GLEN webpages related to these sessions. They will NOT be visible in your library.
