Cohado Overview

Cohado, the Long Sustainable View of a Connected World that Works for Us ALL

Cohado is a Zulu word meaning the long sustainable view - it is the broken pieces coming together. Cohado is the plan and the architecture to enact UBUNTU, the Zulu understanding that we are responsible for each other's wellbeing.

We understand that we are all connected – we are ONE.

Cohado is a platform for experiencing an embodied encounter of pure collaboration, and a set of tools, resources and practical pathways to support for stewarding collaborative processes and initiatives.

Exchange Intention

Paulo Gregory has completed the launch of the Black Butterfly Network and Conservatory seeding a cohort of Black businesses in Baltimore to embody the principles and model of Cohado. Its purpose is to evolve a sustainable ecosystem with the capacity to transform the economics of Baltimore. It has been a humbling and inspiring path to get to this moment. He explains:

This introduction to Cohado provides an understanding of an ancient/new model designed with an understanding of the existing reality, a toxic and unsustainable system that has dominated the planet. This new model, developed as an antivirus allowing us to regenerate the true fabric of our connectivity demonstrated most powerfully through the forces of nature.

It includes interaction with GLEN members attending the Exchange and should not be reproduced or used without permission.

Exchange Design

This session

  1. Explores the structure of the existing system

  3. Shares an experience of how this future looks and feels
  4. Applies a new model which embodies eight underlying principles and gain an understanding of the Cohado Regenerative Development Cycle.

Key Questions for Exploration

  1. How did the Black Butterfly Network come to embrace this kind of collaboration?
  2. How can structured games embody and support truly new frames of reference?
  3. What can all of us learn from this Baltimore experiment?
